The first of these fugues is arranged for two treble, tenor and bass viols from Mozart's Sonata for Violin and Piano, K 402, although half of it was completed, very capably, by his friend Maximilian Stadler. The second fugue was completed by Mozart except for its final eight measures (Stadler again!) and was composed for piano, but published for piano 4-hands because of its wide-ranging parts. It fits well for treble, two tenor, and bass viols.
