Tobi Szuts has transcribed another group of Froberger's keyboard pieces for viol quartet (treble, two tenors and bass). These contrapuntal pieces often begin sedately, but their apparent predictability can quite suddenly surprise the players. Rhythms and meters are variable, making these pieces a continual adventure to play.
