First modern edition, from Telemann’s own engraving of 1731-2, of 72 cantatas in seven volumes. Each volume in the series includes hardcover score, vocal score, and instrument parts. This volume includes 12 cantatas; seven for soprano, five for alto voice. Six of them call for oboe and violin, the other six for trumpet (or oboe) and violin. The "trumpet" cantatas include a charming one for Christmas Day, rousing ones to celebrate the Feast of St. Michael and the Ascension, and a battle with an evil serpent in the one for Easter Sunday.
