This setting of Melchior Vulpius' chorale was composed in his seventies by Telemann, as an Easter cantata. Like the others in this series, composed for Danzig, it is a chorale cantata, in which each movement uses the chorale theme as a basis, or as a cantus firmus. Vocal score.
