Zyka was a Bohemian violinist and cellist (c1720-after 1800), member of the Berlin court orchestra under Friedrich and his son Friedrich Wilhelm II. These are delightful, 3-movement trios, tuneful, somewhat naive in their modulatory and harmonic treatments. Includes harpsichord realisation. Each trio has three movements. Some of the movements are "characteristic" pieces representing birds such as quail, hen, cuckoo.
