Surely everyone knows the recorder, many have their elicits quite a few tones and yet few people know that the instrument of the Renaissance has long played no role in the musical practice. Only in 1926 it was rediscovered, the Vogtland played a central role.
Up to 31 October 2013 there is a special exhibition at the Museum of Musical Instruments, which has been at the College of Music Nuremberg, designed and implemented Peter Thalheimer, a professor of historical performance practice, recorder and transverse flute.
The exhibition catalogue is published for the same volume 3 of the series: 'feats of German instrument-making "of the Association of Friends and Sponsors of Musical Instruments Museum Mark Neukirchen.
